And again… and again… and again…

Walt Disney is a hero of mine.  I have always admired his ability to start again after a failure.  He filed bankruptcy seven times before he came up with the idea of Mickey Mouse and Disneyland.  Of course after those successes he never looked back.

Professional selling can be full of failures, disappointments and frustrations.  However, the great ones know how to pick themselves up again and again and again each time.  Another hero of mine, Winston Churchill said, “Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.”  Failure is never the end unless you stop.  So keep going.  Your skills will improve. You will get smarter.  Success is just over the horizon but you have to keep after it.

Walt Disney - Again and AgainWhen you are tempted to give up, go home early, procrastinate or rationalize not doing what you know you should, just replay in your mind the lyrics to the Rachel Platten Fight Song, “I’ve still got a lot of fight left in me.”
